Full Time Consultants:

JK1Jeffrey K. Edwards has a MS degree in Higher Education Administration and an Undergraduate Degrees in Liberal Studies and Physical Education. He has studied martial arts and defense strategies for 18 years. Mr. Edwards has also volunteered over the past 7 years with local Law Enforcement and University Public Safety. Additionally he is a certified basic, advanced R.A.D. women's instructor, senior citizen R.A.D. instructor, men's R.A.D. instructor and certified replicating adverse dynamics R.A.D. He is also a certified S.A.F.E. instructor and he conducts programs at Universities, High Schools and at Judicial Conferences. Mr. Edwards appeared several times as a guest speaker on PAX television. He is a Diversity Facilitator for the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) and has presented Diversity programs to Residential Life and University Student Leaders. Additionally, he has developed and presented programs on Alcohol Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention to University women and men as well as male student athletes. In 2009, Jeff became a certified County Court Mediator for State of Florida.

Maureen Photo websiteMaureen Edwards worked in the field of child welfare for 10 years in the areas of investigations, quality management, adoptions, independent living and foster care. She conducts trainings centered on sexual assault prevention/safety awareness, suicide prevention and domestic violence prevention. She has conducted additional trainings in the areas of investigations, adoptions and independent living. Maureen also has a professional background in writing. She specializes in conducting research and developing prevention programs as well as speaking on topics related to sexual assault, domestiv violence and suicide prevention with a specialization in youth at risk. Maureen is a certified R.A.D. instructor for women.

Part Time Consultants:

Ed LondonoEd Londono is a Director of Campus and Recreation in Miami with over 11 years experience teaching R.A.D. to women and children. He is a certified Basic and Advanced instructor as well as a certified R.A.D. Kids instructor. Mr. Londono has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Sports Management. He is a member of the National Intramural and Recreational Sport Association (NIRSA) since 1992, the National Wellness Association (NWA) since 1999, a committee member of the Wellness Initiative Network (WIN) since 1998 and is President of the South Florida Recreation Association (SFRA). He was appointed to the Quality Improvement Program (QIP) committee since 2003.

PJ Smith is a former Running back/ Tail back. His junior and senior year of high school he was 1st Team All Area and All Conference. PJ received his first football offering in 2000 by the University of Virginia. By the end of his senior year, PJ had over 25 offers from different universities and colleges around the United States. Despite all these offers Philip did not have the score to qualify to go division 1 therefore he went to Dodge City community college and received an AA degree. Once PJ left Dodge City Community College he signed with the University of Central Florida. After practicing with the University of Central Florida football team; for a short time, a dramatic turn in his life happened which made PJ have to leave UCF. Eventually he was able to start a new beginning at Bethune Cookman University. After losing 4 years of playing time, he went on to play Running back for Bethune Cookman University and later received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation. PJ gives an honest and straight forward talk to student athletes, encouraging them to think before they act or put themselves in a situation that could change their lives forever.
