R.A.D. Programs Services

What is R.A.D.?
Rape Aggression Defense Systems is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive course for individual that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. is not a martial arts program.

The courses are taught by certified R.A.D. instructors and provide you with a workbook/reference manual. This manual outlines the entire physical defense program for reference and continuous personal growth.

The R.A.D. Systems is dedicated to teaching individual defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault, by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics. The program will provide an individual with the physical and mental tools to make an educated decision about resistance.

Free Return Policy

Once a person has graduated from the class, they becomes a lifetime member. Once completing the class, the student/alumni can go anywhere in the United States and Canada where R.A.D. is offered and attend a class for free, providing that there is room in the class. They can attend the entire course or just a simulation to brush up on their techniques.


R.A.D. Programs

R.A.D for Women (Basic)(9-12 hours)

radlogoThe Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive course for women that begin with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance,while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. is not a martial arts program. The R.A.D. Systems curriculum is taught at over 400 Colleges and Universities across the United States and Canada, and is the only self-defense program ever to be endorsed by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) The R.A.D. Systems is dedicated to teaching women defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault, by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics. Our system of realistic defense will provide a woman with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance.

R.A.D. for Women (Advanced)(12-15 hours)

Builds on techniques and strategies from the Basic class, and adds defenses against the edged weapon and firearm. This program also covers more prone defense strategies, multiple subject encounters and even low and diffused light simulation exercises. Minimum of twelve (12) hours, fifteen(15) with simulation, for participants who have already completed the Basic Physical Defense Program. Requires two (2) days for instructor level certification, in addition to current Basic Physical Defense Instructor Certification.

R.A.D. for Men(9-12 hours)

radmenlogoResisting Aggression with Defense is a program that has its foundations in education and awareness. Resisting Aggression is a choice. Men are responsible for how they respond to any event in their life. Their decisions contribute to their past, present and future. Only they can make the choice to transform their life by committing to resist aggression. By investing their time and effort into this program, they will be presented with educational options to resist aggression. They will be asked to raise their awareness of aggressive behavior, to recognize how aggressive behavior impacts their life, to take steps to avoid aggressive behavior, and to look at how they can be part of reducing aggression and violence. Unfortunately, in a small number of incidents, physical confrontations may be unavoidable. Our program also provides participants with realistic strategies for men forced into physical confrontation. Resisting Aggression with Defense is designed to empower men to make different decisions when confronted with aggressive behavior. This is the first step towards reducing aggression and violence for ourselves and the one's we love. The course includes lecture, discussion and self-defense techniques, suitable for men of all ages and abilities. Classes range from nine to twelve hours in length, depending on the Instructor.

By empowering a community with certified local instructors, the radKIDS® Personal Empowerment Safety Education package is not just a program but a true gift to the community. Purpose:Since its inception in 1998, radKIDS®, Inc. has been committed to providing education that enhances the ability of children and parents to utilize knowledge, skills, and power to protect themselves from violence and harm. radKIDS®: Making A DifferenceradKIDS® strengthens family, encourages physical fitness, and teaches core safety values to live by through its program. Fun, activity-based programs include lecture, safety drills, muscle memory exercises and dynamic simulation. radKIDS® community based programs have been offered as after school programs, day camps, recreation programs, as well as through scouting and religious youth groups. 125,000 children have been trained in the radKIDS® personal Empowerment Safety education program. More than 2500 community based instructors have been trained in over 45 states and Canada. 39 children threatened with abduction used their skills and returned safely to their families. Hundreds of children spoke up and got the help they needed to stop the abuse. Through radKIDS® training, children become empowered and learn to replace the fear, confusion, and panic or dangerous situations with confidence, personal safety skills, and self-esteem.

R.A.D. Seniors(15 hours)

radseniorslogoR.A.D. for Seniors offer awareness and defense strategies for older adults, this course is taught in a relaxed environment that is conducive to learning tested instructional techniques, proven tactics, and unique insights about the problems unique to older adults. Our program also includes physical defense workouts for technique development, and educational components to assist with the development of defensive strategies. R.A.D. for seniors has a minimum (15) hour program to be offered in (10) sessions.
